Jordan Silver is the president, executive producer and senior project manager for Ag Media Solutions, Inc. He has been a media professional and marketing strategist for over twenty years. His experience started while still in college where he was an active member of community-based radio (WKRB-FM and WCVF-AM/FM) and television stations (WNYF-TV). He served as an anchor for local news and wrote, directed and produced the documentary The Unsung Heroes.
After graduating, he accepted a position with the New York City news & documentary production company, Globalvision, Inc. He worked on the newsmagazine, Rights & Wrongs: Human Rights Television (1994-1996, PBS) filing numerous stories including an investigation of how celebrities can be held morally liable for labor violations when endorsing products (featuring Kathie Lee Gifford and Robert Reich). Documentary work included 1995’s Yellow Wasps: Anatomy of a War Crime (ethnic cleansing in the former Yugoslavia), 1997’s Beyond Life: Timothy Leary Lives and 1998’s Globalization & Human Rights (PBS). He produced China: Change & Chal-lenge, analyzing China's economic reforms since 1978 (commissioned by The World Bank). He was a producer and videographer on Richard Speck: Born To Raise Hell (COURT TV's Crime Stories, 1999) that detailed the 1966 murder of student nurses and the “life and crimes” of drifter Richard Speck.
In 1999 he began working in public relations and corporate communications with Gabbe Group. During this time he worked on campaigns for Goldman Sachs, Johnson & Johnson, Conoco and Becton Dickinson.
In 2000, he took a position as a producer and writer at CBS with the syndicated late-night comedy show The Howard Stern Radio Show. When the Iraq war began in 2003, ABCNews’ Digital Media Group contacted him to be a part of the launch of the news channel ABCNews Live (now called ABCNews Now). Only slated to stay for three months, he was retained for eleven and a half years with responsibilities expanded to include posting content for ABCNews.com, ABCNews Video-On-Demand and producing the digital versions of 20/20 and Nightline.
In 2010, he began consulting with My 2 Sense Multimedia and serves as senior producer for their video and television productions. He is their executive in charge of production as well as director and senior writer for the documentary Bullycide: The Voice of Complicity.
He has served as Chief Marketing Officer for non-profit foundations and as publicity and media director for relgious organizations, and law & accounting firms.
Mr. Silver has written for the Miami Herald, Jewish Week, The Daily Stache and other on-line and print publications. He graduated from SUNY Fredonia (BS, Communications). He is a member of the Lawrence-Woodmere Academy Alumni Council, South Shore Networking Group and on the board of trustees for the East Meadow Jewish Center. He has run in several half marathons and is in training for the TCS New York Marathon as a part of the Boomer Esaison Foundation team (https://p2p.onecause.com/nycm2020/jordan-silver), is an avid golfer, sports fan and “vintage” movie enthusiast. He lives on Long Island with his family.
